Russians evacuate prisoners from Kherson Correctional Center to free up space to house Russian soldiers General Staff Report




The Russian occupation forces evacuated prisoners from Correctional Institution No. 90 in the city of Kherson and now use the institution as accommodation for Russian soldiers and as a base for their military equipment.

Details: Russian forces are preparing to defend their positions in towns and villages around the city of Kherson. About 100 Russian National Guard soldiers arrived in Kalanchak from Grozny.

Russian forces carried out 23 airstrikes and 5 missile strikes, as well as more than 100 attacks using Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS). Over 45 Ukrainian towns and villages came under Russian fire, including Siversk and Sloviansk (Donetsk Oblast), Zaporizhzhia (Zaporizhzhia Oblast) and Novooleksandrivka (Kherson Oblast).

There were no significant changes to the Volyn and Polissia Fronts. Russia continues to deploy units of its forces in the Republic of Belarus. A freight train carrying military equipment from the Russian Federation arrived at Brest station on October 26. Kadyrovites, Chechen forces subordinate to Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov and fighting as part of the Russian army, arrive alongside other soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Russian servicemen have been spotted in towns and villages between the cities of Brest and Malaryta.

There is a permanent threat of missile fire from the territory of Belarus, including with the use of attack UAVs.

On other fronts, the Russians continued to fire on military and civilian targets:

  • On the In front of Silvershchyna: Russian forces deployed mortars and artillery guns to fire on areas in and around Rozhkovychi, Budky, Mezenivka, Fotovyzh and Myropillia (Sumy Oblast);

  • On the before Slobozhanshchyna: Russian forces deployed tank guns, mortars and rocket and tube artillery to fire on the areas of Ternova, Vovchansk, Veterynarne, Vilkhuvatka, Hatyshche, Hryhorivka, Kamianka, Fyholivka, Dvorichna, Starytsia, Ohirtseve , Strilecha and Chuhunivka;

  • On the Kupyansk and Lyman fronts: Russian forces deployed various types of artillery to fire on the areas of Kyslivka, Krokhmalne, Hrekivka, Zarichne, Novoiehorivka, Berestove, Nevske, Olhivka, Terny, Torske and Yampolivka;

  • On the Bakhmut Facade: Russians deployed tanks and artillery of various calibers to fire on areas in and around Andriivka, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Bilohorivka, Vesele, Zvanicka, Siversk, Zelenopillia, Soledar, Odradivka, Opytne, New- York, Vasiukivka, Serebrianka and Yakovlivka;

  • On the In front of Avdiivka: the Russians deployed tank guns, mortars and rocket and tube artillery to fire on areas near Avdiivka, Nevelske, Vesele, Vodiane, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Pervomaiske and Opytne;

  • On the In front of Novopavlivka: the Russians deployed tank guns and artillery rockets to fire on areas in and around Vremivka, Vuhledar, Yehorivka, Mykilske, Novoukrainka, Pavlivka and Prechystivka;

  • On the Front of Zaporizhzhia: Russian forces fired on areas near Huliaipole, Nove, Dorozhnianka, Zaliznychne, Zelenyi Hai, Temyrivka, Olhivske and Chervone;

  • On the Pivdennyi Buh before, about twenty towns and villages located along the line of contact fell under Russian fire. Nikopol and Vyshchetarasivka (Dnipropetrovsk Oblast) and Havrylivka (Kherson Oblast) suffered damage from Russian attacks.

Russian forces continue their attempts to advance on the Bakhmut and Avdiivka fronts.

Ukrainian armed forces repelled Russian attacks in the vicinity of Yakovlivka, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Oleksandropil, Kamianka, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk Oblast).

On October 29, Ukrainian aircraft carried out 32 airstrikes, including 23 against groups of Russian military personnel, weapons and equipment; 3 on platoon strengths and 6 on air defense systems. In addition, the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces shot down a Russian Iskander-K missile and 2 Orlan-10 drones. Ukrainian rocket forces and artillery struck 6 areas where Russian weapons and military equipment were concentrated, 3 ammunition storage points, 2 air defense systems and 9 other crucial military targets.
