The enemy command center plans to commit about 1,500 marines from the separate 40th Marine Brigade of the Russian Federation Pacific Fleet.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, reports a correspondent of Ukrinform.

The eighteenth day of Ukraine’s heroic resistance to the Russian military invasion has begun. The condition, positions and nature of defensive actions remain mostly unchanged as of 06:00 a.m., March 13, 2022.

The enemy continues to use civilian infrastructure for military purposes. In violation of international humanitarian law (IHL) requirements, it continues to deploy units and equipment to high-risk facilities, bomb civilians, conduct unlawful searches of personal effects and local residents, and dress up in civilian clothes and uniforms of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The moral and psychological state of the enemy troops continues to deteriorate. The number of deserters and those who refuse to carry out orders is increasing.

According to available information, a large number of Russian servicemen injured during the hostilities on Ukrainian territory are being treated in Belarusian medical institutions. They are running out of blood needed for surgery. About two-thirds of Belarusian blood supplies are redirected to meet the needs of the Russian military. The campaign to collect blood from public sector employees and the civilian population has been launched.

Due to combat losses, the Russian Armed Forces create new subdivisions. In particular, the enemy command center plans to engage about 1,500 marines from the 40th separate marine brigade (Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Pacific Fleet).

In cooperation with other defense forces, the Armed Forces of Ukraine decently repel enemy attacks. In particular, over the past day they destroyed two helicopters, two combat aircraft (including one Su-34 aircraft) and two unmanned aerial vehicles.
