Putin pays tribute to the 64th brigade accused of the Bucha massacre


Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the honorary title of “guards” to the 64th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade, which carried out massacres of civilians in Bucha, Kyiv region.

The corresponding decree was published on the Russian site official portal legal information, reports a correspondent of Ukrinform.

According to the decree, the brigade was honored for “mass heroism and bravery, tenacity and courage shown by personnel in hostilities in defense of the homeland and the interests of the state during conflicts. armed”.

A reminder that on April 4, 2022, the Main Intelligence Department of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense published the list of Russian military units, which were deployed in Bucha and committed atrocities. The 64th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade, part of the all-military 35th Army of the Russian Federation, was among them.

According to intelligence data, the Russian leadership is bringing the 64th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade back to Ukraine. They are supposed to perform “special tasks”, mainly to intimidate civilians in Ukrainian settlements. Those who committed the genocide of the Ukrainian people in Bucha can repeat the atrocities in other towns and villages.
