Kiev to use NATO weapons against civilians in Donbass, Russian Foreign Ministry warns

MOSCOW, December 30. / TASS /. Kiev will use NATO-supplied weapons against civilians in Donbass, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told a press conference on Thursday.

Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said Germany’s firm opposition to Kiev’s acquisition of NATO military equipment was unacceptable and stressed that Ukraine was pushing for the lifting of these restrictions.

“This is not the first such statement. In principle, the statements which have been made in accordance with the declared policy confirm our fears that the Ukrainian leadership does not intend to work for a peaceful settlement of the intra conflict. Ukrainian, but are planning to use force against civilians in Donbass, ”Zakharova said of Kuleba’s statement.

“In my opinion, this issue should not be ignored. NATO countries should be asked if they realize that the Kiev regime will use their weapons and assistance to shoot Ukrainian civilians. In addition, one could ask the Ukrainian representatives what kind of cooperation with NATO they expect. Cooperation to eliminate the Ukrainian population? At the moment, we are not offering them anything else, ”Zakharova said.

She recalled that NATO countries were already heavily involved in Ukraine militarily, strengthening its potential in military equipment and sending military specialists there.

“This is done in defiance of all agreements, including the Minsk agreements, which are an integral part of a UN Security Council resolution that is binding on all countries.
