Enemy troops carry out offensive actions in three directions – General Staff

Russian troops are conducting offensive actions in three directions, namely Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Novopavlivka.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, reports a correspondent of Ukrinform.

The Russian invaders are trying to hold the areas temporarily occupied, concentrating their efforts on limiting the actions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in certain directions. The enemy conducts offensive actions in the Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Novopavlivka directions.

Over the past day, the Ukrainian army repelled enemy attacks near settlements such as Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Vodiana and Pavlivka in the Donetsk region.

The enemy opened fire on Ukrainian positions along the line of contact, set up fortification structures in certain areas and carried out aerial reconnaissance. Russian invaders continue to strike at critical infrastructure and civilian homes, in violation of international humanitarian law and the laws and customs of war.

Over the past day, the enemy has launched four missile strikes, 28 airstrikes and opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) more than 45 times. About 30 settlements came under enemy fire in areas such as Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kherson and others.

The threat of new missile and UCAV strikes persists, especially from the territory of Belarus.

In the Volyn and Polissia sense, the situation remained rather unchanged. Belarus continues to support Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine.

In other directions, the enemy opened fire as follows:

in the direction of Siverskyi – near the Volfyne of the Sumy region, with mortars, cannon artillery and UCAVs;

in the direction of Slobozhanskyi – near Stelmakhivka, Berestove, Bilohorivka, Veterynarne, Hatyshche, Chuhunivka and Udy, with mortars, cannons and rocket artillery;

in the Kupiansk and Lyman directions – near Miasozharivka, Zvanivka, Rozdolivka, Siversk, Verkhniokamiannske, Serebrianka, Novoiehorivka and Yampolivka, with tanks and various artillery systems;

in the direction of Bakhmut – near Bakhmut, Andriivka, Klishchiivka, Ozarianivka, Kurdiumivka, Maiorsk, Ivanhrad, Soledar, Opytne and Zelenopillia, with tanks and different artillery systems;

in the direction of Avdiivka – near Avdiivka, Oleksandropil, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Nevelske and Pervomaiske, with tanks, mortars, guns and rocket artillery;

in the direction of Novopavlivka – near Prechystivka, Vodiane, Pavlivka, Vremivka and Velyka Novosilka, with all available artillery systems;

in the direction of Zaporizhzhia – near Huliaipole, Dorozhnianka, Novoandriivka, Olhivske, Shcherbaky and Mali Shcherbaky, with mortars, cannons and artillery rockets.

In the direction of the Southern Bug, more than 25 settlements came under enemy fire along the line of contact. The enemy carried out aerial reconnaissance and actively used drones, having made up to 30 flights.

In the temporarily occupied areas, the Russian invaders continue to violate international humanitarian law and the laws and customs of war. In the Pisky region of the Lugansk region, representatives of the so-called military commander’s office used screening measures against local residents. Thirty citizens were abducted and taken to an unknown destination. Similar measures are underway in settlements located along the Oleshky-Nova Kakhovka highway in the Kherson region.

The increased traffic of trucks and cars with looted goods was recorded on the highways of the Kherson region. Major thefts take place in Beryslav and neighboring communities. In particular, real estate and the repair base are withdrawn from electrical network maintenance companies. In the village of Topolivka, the Russian occupiers use a local school and kindergarten, where up to 300 enemy troops and equipment are deployed, as a living shield.

Over the past day, the Ukrainian Air Force launched 21 strikes on enemy positions. Twenty groups of Russian military ammunition and equipment were hit, as well as positions of enemy air defense missile systems. Ukrainian air defense units shot down three enemy Shahed-136 drones.

During this time, Ukrainian missile and artillery units hit the Russian checkpoint, four groups of enemy personnel, ammunition and military equipment, an ammunition depot, an electronic warfare system, anti- mines and other important military targets.
